Full moon dinners at Buttermilk are back! Hike or skin up Buttermilk, enjoy views of the Elk Mountains and enjoy dinner at the Cliffhouse restaurant. Then ski or snowboard under the moonlight to the base.

The Cliffhouse will be open at 5 pm for a cash bar and drinks. At 5:30 pm à la carte dinner options will be available including the Mongolian Grill. The Cliffhouse closes at 8 pm.
Please note, uphill passes and a visible strap are required for all uphillers. If you don’t have one, you can purchase a season uphill pass for $69 on the day of the event at Tiehack or Buttermilk Main.
Aspen Snowmass encourages you to park at Buttermilk Main for this event.
Additional tips include:
- Bring a headlamp for the descent. While the moon is bright, it’s not quite enough to ski by without a headlamp.
- Pack a warm jacket. You’ll be warm on the hike up but will appreciate a warm outer layer for the ski down.
- No dogs are allowed on the mountain during this event.
- Watch for wildlife. There have been moose sightings at Buttermilk this season.
